Overview of Role:

Providing support to the Finance organization and reporting to the Director of Finance. The role will support R&D primarily Clinical Trials.

The ability to travel to Miami, FL once/twice a month.

Role and Responsibilities:

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Develop budgets for multiple Global Phase III Clinical Trials to also be leveraged for LRP
  • Own R&D headcount forecasting
  • Review/Comment to variance analysis for R&D function leads on a monthly basis

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D departments leads to achieve company financial goals
  • Provide financial impacts to key business decisions
  • Lead from a financial perspective contract negotiation with vendors and provide finance expertise

Technical Skills

  • Assist with the Company’s future infrastructure upgrades by helping building out Planful reports
  • Create/Enhance FP&A Models

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in finance
  • Demonstratable experience of working within a fast-paced finance function.
  • Life science industry and prior clinical trial experience are preferred
  • Strong Excel and financial systems experience, with the ability to manipulate and interpret key financial data.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstratable experience of prioritizing workload and managing multiple tight deadlines effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong internal and external working relationships, and the confidence to challenge information constructively.
  • R&D P&L Opex Experience
  • Enthusiastic team player with an approachable manner and an ability to engage with colleagues across the business with a constructive and can-do attitude to deliver the successful completion of team outputs within required deadlines.

The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $186,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation. The successful candidate will also be eligible for health benefits, 401(k) with 6% employer match from day one, ESPP with a 15% discount up to the federal limit, flexible spending account among other benefits compensation.
