Job Title: Director, Program Management (Alliance Management)

Overview of Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Program Management (Alliance Management) to join our Summit Program Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for program-level management that impacts new indications workstreams, cross-functional activities and strategic projects. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships, serve as an internal single-point-of contact for alliance information and responsible for execution of critical alliance projects. This positionrequires pharmaceutical industry experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate US-European-Chinese cross-cultural business environments.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with global partners as a Summit representative
- Implement appropriate alliance management structures, processes and best practices to meet the needs of each collaboration
- Coordinate and manage joint projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Facilitate effective communication between internal Summit teams and the partner organization
- Monitor and report on the progress of collaborative initiatives
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that arise in the partnership
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and contract expectations
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of the alliance
Capabilities:
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and global regulatory processes
- Familiarity with Chinese pharmaceutical companies and the needs of regional partners moving through R&D activities to commercialization
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data related to cross-functional pharmaceutical projects
- Program Management:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams in an alliance environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a virtual and global environment
- Oversee the end-to-end management of multiple and diverse activities, activate new indications after Go-decision and accountable to execute assigned key program activities
- Track progress, metrics and maintain comprehensive dashboards to be used in leader updates and program planning
- Communication:
- Establish new workstreams, independently lead cross-functional groups and meetings to ensure seamless program delivery—from early formation of opportunity teams to complex program activities
- Facilitate effective communication, meetings and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, external alliance partners and across peer Program Managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including setup and maintenance of collaboration platforms, file sharing and updates
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

- Understanding of Chinese business culture and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to build trust and rapport with partners
- All other duties as assigned
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (scientific or business discipline preferred) with a minimum of 7+ years of experience is preferred, blend of healthcare and MBA desirable
- Some US domestic and/or international travel to be expected, which also requires a Chinese travel visa or the ability to meet requirements to be issued
- Chinese language capabilities is strongly preferred, both verbal and written expertise
- Prior pharmaceutical (drug development) alliance management experience is required and is non-negotiable
- Project management training or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Prior solid tumor oncology disease/drug experience in late-stage drug development and understands registrational trials is strongly preferred
- Proficient user of MS Office suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project), Teams/SharePoint and collaborative tools, experience using electronic document management systems, document review tools and expertise in standard project management software (Smartsheets) required
The pay range for this role is $184,000 to $230,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation. The successful candidate will also be eligible for health benefits, 401(k) with 6% employer match from day one, ESPP with up to a 15% discount up to the federal limit, flexible spending account among other benefits compensation
